Free Danish language classes for internationals

Free Danish language classes for internationals

As of July 1, 2020, state-funded Danish language courses will be once again free of charge.

Last modified: 03.07.2020

The current tuition of 2,000 DKK per module is being phased out. However, when signing up for tuition, you must pay 2000 DKK as deposit.

In order to learn Danish at a local language center you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • live in Denmark
  • have a Danish Registration Number (CPR)

Please note, that only those who register in Denmark after 1 July, 2020 are entitled to free classes. Internationals that are CPR registered previous to this date, might fall in a different category. I recommend that you contact your local language school to find out more.

We reccomend that your visit the Danish state-funded language schools page at Dedanskesprogcentre.dk.
